Environmental Issues Take Back Seat in Economic Crisis

The democrats think that there should be a bill passed that would make energy more expensive in order to put a stop to so much pollution by putting gas caps to trap greenhouse gases.But due to the economic stress that we are in right now, the democrats think that it would be possible that they would auction off emission permits or start issuing them out for free. The republicans on the other hand think that it would be too costly to even consider and that the thought of the bill should vanish. Both the house and the senate agree that something needs to be done about the greenhouse gases that are causing global warming.

I think that we need to be pro active and actually do something about this crisis at hand. I understand that our nation is in finacial crisis at the moment but just ignoring the issue could lead to chaos for the next generations and even our generations living conditions. We cant keep abusing the earth and then do nothing to restore order that we have destroyed. If we dont act responsibly now and dont set a good example to the future generations leaders then it can impact us hugely.The democrats know whats up and how to deal with it. If we ignore an issue, its not going to go away but keep growing even bigger.
